I made the decision to leave my state government job in order to start Comfort & Spice Catering Company here in South West Florida out of my passion for cooking and service excellence. I am now able to offer delicious dishes made with fresh and locally-sourced ingredients to our community.
For over three decades, I lived in the culturally rich Washington DC Northern Virginia area and I have worn many hats throughout my life. I've worked in the tourism and hospitality industry and owned a cafe and ice cream shop. My parents had a seafood restaurant when I was very young and to this day, I'm still trying to replicate their unforgettable Lobster Thermidor. I have traveled to several continents and I have learned from the locals while discovering key elements of flavor bursting ethnic foods prepared with just the right amount of spices. I've developed my own American home cooking style with southern comfort elements and European and Latin American influences using aromatics and other ingredients in harmonious ways. I fell in love with cooking and baking as a little girl in my grandma's kitchen fifty years ago. My commitment to quality, value and attention to detail will impress you.
